Presence
Steven Soderbergh challenges his creative boundaries through this clever ghostly tale filmed completely from the viewpoint of the spirit. As a family with Lucy Liu as Rebekah plus Callina Liang as Chloe settles into their fresh home, the lens – AKA the Presence – tracks their movements. The teen shows signs of conscious of the ghostly being, and it looks like defensive toward her. But why? This is an entertaining concept that doesn't outstay its welcome, with a twist you might not see coming. This Saturday, afternoon and evening times, Sky Cinema

The Tammy Faye Biopic
In the conflict between spirituality and money, it's a knockout win for materialism in Showalter's wonderfully garish biopic about the fallen televangelist and her felon spouse. Garfield acts as the greedy Jim, who declares initially, claiming divine approval for wealth. The couple commence profiting from the nation's religious faith. It's a riot of poor styling, overdone appearance and hypocrisy, though Jessica Chastain achieves to depict the character with compassion. Next Tuesday, late night, on Film4
